2001 different form 2002 (2001, 76.0 ft.lbs @ 5700 RPM; 2002, 85.0 ft.lbs) @ 4900 RPM) 2002 very strong 0 to 60. purchased 2005 w/3000mi. Lost speedo sending unit about 3100. Est 8K mi to date. Only other prob. is carb. seems to have a lean midrange jet. 10 to 15 % choke completely solves prob. Will clean carb this fall. Carbs are so much easier than injection. Have adjusted primary drive one time. Will take up about one turn on both side of secondary drive this fall. So far, I love this bike. It pulls reasonably smoothly from 2100 up even in 5th. Runs 45 at 2200 in 5th. Nice and surprisingly smooth for the county roads. Mr. Buell, the M2 steel backbone version needs to come back. It looks so much better in my opinion. Cal |
