If you are used to the rear brake being on the floor and a clutch on the left-hand grip, beware of sudden stops when you apply the brake rather than pulling in the clutch! Throttle off before the apex of corners, throttle out. I find that the scooter changes back through the gears quick enough to not need brakes in most situations.
