I bought a brand new Gilera DNA180cc on January 2003. I liked the looks, economy, and ease of use (automatic). It had a 2 year guarantee. It was always serviced on time. The only trouble it gave me during the first year was a malfunctioning horn which was replaced. About six months after the guarantee expired (and only at 10,000KM) the engine began to stall occasionally after a few loud BANGS when it was doing some 60Kmh at about 5000rpm. At first it did this about once a week (which is already bad enough) but as time went by it started to die ever more frequently. I reported this to the local Piaggio dealer who conveyed me to their mechanic. He said he checked, tested, and replaced everything but could not put his finger on the problem. I collected my bike about six months later. The so called \
