i have been riding suzuki cruisers - intruder 800 and intruder 1500 - for just over five years now. i´m thinking of buying a naked standard, and the kawi zrx 1200 is a possibility. the intruders are unbreakable and require little maintenance: 4k mile oil/filter change, other fluids changed every two years, shaft drive is reliable with no maintenance, engine tune-up whenever :-)
brake pads are short-lived :-( tires last at least 13k miles if the bike is ridden conservatively (that´s me!), self adjusting valves.
what can i expect in maintenance/frequency on the kawi?
what are the bike´s strong points? weak points?
i´ve read several reviews; hardly any motojournalist really disses a bike. lay it on me.
