I bought my 1981 XV920R used in 1989 with less than 2K on it. Exceptional all around decent road bike with a couple quirks. The starter drive clutch slipped after a few more thousand miles, shimming it up cured that. Front brake pads weren´t up to heavy duty use and a set of Dunlopads fixed that. There have been few repairs other than the ft. steering head bearings being recently replaced at 40k miles. At 41K the motor still functions as almost new and the handling same as new after the steering bearings were replaced. It feels as if it´s good for another 40K and I´d definitely buy it again, |
