81 440 D battery and solenoid help

81 440 D battery and solenoid help

Hello ,my bike is a 81 kawasaki 440 I´m having to do wire work and need to know,what wires hook up to the battery? The wire on the solenoid that looks like a battery wire,does it hook up to the negative side on the battery?
