Hi to all from the new boy,I live on Vancouver Island BC,I just purchased 1982 750c honda with 69000 km on the clock the bike is sound and in good condition, a bit of rust on the chrome headlight ring, but complete and runs well.I paid $200.00 cdn, but had to spend $600.00 to get the carbs overhauled, exhaust fitted and a few litle bits done, a bit of paint and some polish I now have a almost classic bike Im not embaresed to ride.My questions are,Did I do ok , I think so but comments would be interesting,I dont know this particular bike, so how well can it be adapted for gravel rd riding, can you run nobby tires for example, whats the fuel range with load on one up,what kind of extra air filters can be fitted etc. Dont laugh but my reason for the purchase is I plan to ride the roads in the far north of Canada in summer 07 ie Demster Hwy, road to Yelloknife and the Alaska pipeline access road to Deadhorse and I thought this may be the bike that would do it, so any comments or advice if any one has done these roads would be apreciated. All this from a mad man who rode a honda 400 n superdream around Europe for 11 months back in 1985, so I guess I am a bit crazy , any how your comments would be interesting. Thanks for reading . Irnbut.
