I got one too that is exceptional. After much problems with starting, we are going to have the bike re-jetted. Seems the EPA was alot tougher in the 1980´s, and the bike is extremely lean. Hoping that will solve the starting problems in cold weather. I am a freak about my bike too. My husband has a 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit and says my bike is a limosine compared to his bike in the way of comfort. The harder you ride this bike, the better it will run. I cannot let the bike sit more than 2 or 3 days, seems the fuel drains from the carbs when that happens. In the winter, to avoid cranking the bike over and over again, I put a ceramic heater on the pipes at the front of the bike for around 30 minutes and she fires right up! Congratulations! You will get noticed where ever you go! Shelbeesmom |
