I have a rather odd problem. My bike is a 79 CM400T. I´m experiencing an oil leak from the upper most gasket on the engine. The leak begins at higher RPM´s, and slows to a stop when RPMs are downed. Now here´s the odd part, there are no breaks in the gasket and even stranger is that the leak is spuradic, happing one day but not the next. Here´s my theory, for some reason I´m getting too much pressure in my engine. I know it sounds odd but when I unscrew my oil cap directly after turning off my engine I get a very strong burst of steam conjoined by a small stream of oil and I´m fairly certain that didn´t happen last season. I dont know a whole lot about oil pressure so I´ve tryed the things I know of, changed my oil/filter, ensured oil levels were within proper levels, but the leak pursists. I´m wondering if there´s some sort of oil relief valve somewhere that may be out of whack? Thanks in advance for any help.
