I recently bought a 81 CB 400 as my first street bike. The battery was dead and I just replaced it. The electric start worked perfectly and the bike fired right up. The turn signals didn´t work and I knew that when I bought the bike and I thought I´d tinker around. So there are two wires coming out from the box with the turn signal/horn/light switches enclosed and they were just clipped together. I pulled them apart and plugged them into the two prongs at the end of the clutch. I pressed the start button and all the dash lights just dimmed, so I switched the wires (I now it´s a bad idea now) all the dash lights were still on and everything seemed normal, so I pressed the start button and all the lights turned off, and since then the start button won´t work even though I put the wires back to the way they were. Checked the 3 fuses on the left side of the bike and they were all fine. I´m lost. Any suggestions?
