Hello XL-lovers,

I´ve bought one of these a couple of months ago, and I like it a lot. It´s exactly the bike I´ve wanted for years(well okay, I´ve got my license for like.. 2 years)
Before this bike I owned a Jawa TS 350 ´98 (2 stroke), which I also loved. But unfortunately the engine failed.

I bought my Honda XL 500 S ´81 for 300 euros, which is absolutely nothing, but hey. I did have to take the engine apart to replace the thingies that close the top off. So I pretty much know what goes where now (except for that one bolt..dammit!)
The pertaining problems are a minor leakage at the head, and problems of electrical sorts.

To begin with, my indicators don´t work(bulbs are okay). And if I disconnect the back-end, the front indicators do work! So It´s probably found in shortcircuiting or a bad grounding.
Secondly my headlight is aimed way high, even though I have the thing the right way round. Maybe the inside reflector is in a wrong place?(if there is such a thing..)

Any suggestions are welcome at my email, or a reply here.
