I had my 81 FLT rebuilt by a local fellow who is a Yamaha racing mechanic.....The engine is awsome and very reliable despite a wild cam and a custom carb system..... I am very happy with the rebuild and went on to do the rest of the restore (paint etc). The only issue I have is that when I store the bike over the winter and start it up in the spring...the transmission/clutch %!¤es out most of its oil through a rubber pipe. I then refill the transmission and its fine and does not leak. Any ideas? Also I want to get rid of the faring and make the front end look more custom???f Due to my professional employment I am not able to access resources that are local and can provide parts etc. I really need bits and pieces to spiff the bike up. Thank you Kevin |
