You need to remove your derby cover and inspect your clutch if no obvious wore particals are stuck around sides or bottom of the clutch area i would loosen the nuts around the outer portion and the locknut in center and make sure everything is aligned correctly then retightn nuts around outer, Thats not always needed What will help you definatly is this repeat first thing take derby off then loosen lock nut in center take flathead and turn in (*may have to turn some and reloosen lock nut while holding flathead on screw*) till it starts to snug and STOP! stop at seated dont snug snug just a lil snug, Then back it out about a 1/8th of a turn, Then make sure the flathead screw doesnt turn tightn locknut they say hand tight.....BUT i dont agree it works loose in shovels after 5-800 miles and u gotta readjust so hold flathead on the screw n give lock nut a litlle tourque with the ol wrench there ya go adjusted the clutch plate pressure depend on weight or 2 up rideing may spin a little more out past 1/8th but a little dab will do may not think but it does enjoy...
