Recently acquired an 81 XLH 1000 Sporty. It had set outside for 8 years and did not have any brakes, points, batty that was any part of good, gas in tank or carb, air in back tire, front tire was 13 years old, chain was so rusty that it would hardly allow you to move bike. Some of the wiring has been disconnected and the front brakes are not working and the front master cylinder has aluminum corrosion in the reservoir and even carb cleaner will not flow thru the front brake lines. I have pics of the restoration during the process if anyone is interested. I have some questions about the wiring and if anyone can help with that I would appreciate it much.
