I have a 1981 XJR750 SECA that I bought used in 1985 w/5,000 miles on it. I drove it until 1990, until it would not start! After setting in the shed for 16 years, I talked a co-worker into working on it for me(it is a hobby of his). Found the brushes in the starter to be bad and it starts great! He coated the tank and rebuilt the carbs and front brakes as well. All parts cost $150 and I traded a 1974 Kawasaki 250 bike for labor and he knocked off $100 of the parts. So for $150, I am back on the road starting tomorrow(06-16-06)! CanĀ“t wait to get the SECA back on the road after a 16 year hiatus! It only has 7,20 miles on it, so should hopefully have many more years of great riding ahead of me!!!
