I agree the battery is the way to go. A cheaper option than the odyssey is a BMW Westco Motorcycle Battery 12V 20Ah (12V20P). It is slightly wider (about 7mm) than the standard battery so you need to cut away the front of the battery box. Mine now starts on the button.
