I have owned my XJ650RJC SECA since I picked it up off the showrom floor in 1983 and have loved ever since. So far I have racked up 120,000 kms on it and it has never given me any undeserved grief. I have Progressive Suspension components front and back, steel braided brake lines, KN air filter and a Hindle Stealth exhaust system. Besides having to replace the valves at 65,000 kms and more recently the timing chain, there has been no major mechanical difficulties throughout all those miles. The bike is pampered but at the same time it´s not driven like a Sunday ride either. There has been many a scraped peg and even one dumping but the bike still looks great and performfs even better. Actually the SECA 650 seems to pull stronger the more mile I put on it. In my opinion, this is the most under rated and best overall bike that Yamaha ever produced. Cheers |
