My maxim was the same deal.Bought it after it had sat for awhile outside under a tarp.Fisrt i found that after a new battery put in the key turned it to on and nothing no lights nothing.Played with the fuse block and had some power to a light or two.Bought some electric contact cleaner sprayed all the connections still very little.Did some suldering and simple wiring all worked.Bought some carb holders. If the tires are weather cracked good chance the carb holders and just about anything rubber is to.Mine is still in the works but getting there.Let me know if theres anything else you find.Have fun........
