Hi, I just inherited my fathers 82 Suzuki GS 450. He bought it new, rode it only a few months and then put it away when he was diagnosed with Parkinson´s. It sat in the garage all these years and finally, gave it to me. I´ve got it all tuned up and running great. My problem here is that I´m not sure if it´s a 450 L or a 450 T. The side cover emblems are missing and I think they fell off in the garage many years ago. The bike only has 1200 miles on it and is dead mint other than the emblems missing. I´d really like to replace them and have started looking on Ebay, but am not sure which emblems to get once I locate some. Is there a way to find out which model I´ve got here? By looking at the pictures on this site, It looks exactly like the black one they show here with the exception that the seat on mine has a different pattern on it. I think it´s a 450-L. But as I said, I´m really not sure, and don´t know how to find out for sure. The title does not say either. Any help would be great on figuring this out. I can be contacted directly at nwcudaman@earthlink.net If you have any emblems or a way to identify this bike dead on, PLEASE let me know. My goal is to get this bike dead to rights exactly right again and enjoy it. It gets lots of looks and I´ve already been asked if it´s restored, but of course, it´s not. Just stored away for 26 years! I rode it to work yesterday and it was a total pleasure to ride. Thanks so much! |
