Back in 1984 I bought a GS450T brand new, with 11 miles on the odometer. I put 10000 miles on it that first year. Back then the speed limit was 55 on the interstate (sure glad they changed that). I still have it now but it has about 25000 miles on it. I guess it is now an antique (30 years old). About once or twice a week I take it on the 53 mile (one way) to work on the interstate. Still a great bike after the 28 years that I have owned it. Back in the 82, 84 area the Japs anticipated they were going to have many more sales than they did. They had a real surplus of bikes on the market. My bike was priced from $2400 to $1200, great deal. I was wondering, how many miles can a person get on these bikes before the engine needs to be rebuilt or replace? Thanks, Brian |
