I bought this from an old friend in Nov. 04, knowing that there is an electrical problem and it was running too rich. I have just put it back together and have some pictures, will be supplying better ones later. The black box was short circuited, pulling the plug caused idle to increase!I have adapted the rectifier out of a car alternator, and get 100 volts revved up with no load and a heckuva charge going when it is connected to a big battery. I have designed and ordered parts for a regulator.Presently I have a 6.6 ohm resistor between the rect. and battery, and that may get me by for now.Regulator will use a power transistor driven by a 7815, and the voltage in to the ´15 is limited by a zener diode and 150 ohms. Will let you know if it works in a couple of weeks. Now I can´t figure out how to send you the picture.
