The actual model is KZ1000 K2 but it is known as the LTD 1000. Of course the side covers say LTD 1000. The hole on top of the transmission is connected by a short rubber hose to the stock air box much like a PVC line on an old chevy. I suppose blowby is directed back to the carbs this way. The air suction valves on the valve covers were to meet emissions standards. They allowed air to be drawn into the exhaust pipes so that unburned exhaust gases could be ignited by the exhaust heat. The extra air helped to burn the remaining unburned fuel. A flexible rubber hose connected the valves to the air box in stock condition. When running properly these bikes will wheelie but I could never ride the wheelie a long ways. I do have an old reckless driving ticket that I earned one night doing a wheelie from a stop light (didnĀ“t see the cop). Tip - sit back farther or strap a duffle bag of dog food near the back of the seat or on a luggage rack if it has one. Be careful when you have a passenger on back and starting off briskly on an incline because it will wheelie real well that way.
