Got a new old KZ1000! Im new to the type and had some questions

I just bought what I was told was a Kawasaki KZ 1000 LTD (82´). Does the K stand for Kawasaki and it really is just a Kawasaki Z 1000 LTD? Is the disc cover thing on top of the transmission an oil breather, and if so, does the hole need to have a breather filter on it? What are "air suction valve covers" on top of the exhaust cam for? And lastly, I am kind of new to the old sports bike, before this I had a crotch rocket. Can this bike do wheelies, or is too heavy or something? I can feel it try to lift, but I cant get it up. Any tips? Thanks a lot! - Kintaro
