Hi Bob, Thanks. I need to get a disk with the manual on it. I have one for the KZ440 series. Have you kept your 1000 stock or have you added or changed some things? I am planning on swapping the old headlamp for a halogen unit, moving he rear blinkers back by using a CM400 taillight unit and just swapping out the lights. I did it on the 440 and it worked beautifully. Then I can put hard saddlebags or pelican cases on it. I want to get some proper mounting racks. The ones made for any of the KZ series cost a lot. Do you have bags on yours. If so, how did you do it? I also want to swap out the handle bars to non-pullback ones - something standards like on a Bonneville, CB750, 82-83K KZ1100 or 81-82 KZ1000J. Do you have any ideas where to get the best match? Where are you located. I am in the western suburbs of Chicago hoping for a mild winter. Best, Tim |
