Rejetting and carb setup?

I was just given a 82 kz250 ltd. ive been told that its jetted for sea level which would explain why it runs verrry rich at 4200 ft. what size jet should i buy and whats the initial setup for the carb once ive installed the jet? im a life-long hot rodder so i know the mechanical skills but im lost since this is my first time messing with bikes. any help you guys can give me i would love. thank you very much. mike
