i got a 1981 kdx 175 that my buddy gave me because he moved and couldnt bring it with him. he beat on this bike i watched him sink it in a creek a couple of times. he gave me this bike because it didnt run unless he pulled it behind a truck or somthing for ten mins then it would pop and die. i got it knowing it was electrical i took off the flywheel to find the stator wires shot i bought a set off ebay for 70 bucks i wired them in and got no spark. i was wondering if anyone had any pics of where there wires go from the stator they should come to one conector and a single yellow i found the yellow wire is hot and will spark on the head [i think its for my tail lights] lol im pretty sure i need a cdi anyone know if its possible to run the bike without the cdi. the cdi tells the bike when to fire but the coil should still spark. the coil is good i checked it on another bike and the stator is wired up just like the old one. any info will help thanks.
