I have a big problem. I have a 1981 kdx 175 and dropped it off to be fixed, (engine clean out, plastic, new spokes, etc.) and i was informed that the rear rim was rusted through and was unuseable. although they said they could weld it i wonder if the old rim(even welded) would be able to withstand motocross jumping. they do not make the rims for this bike anymore so i felt screwed over, so i looked online and found a 1982 rim for this model, it was even set at a reasonal price. i havnt been able to contact the mechanic and i need to know if the 1982 rim would fit my 1981 bike.
