Cruising and performence

Hey there. So my first bike was a Magna v45, after that I had a shadow ACE 1100. The ace was a good bike but it really seemed to be lacking on horsepower. I like to go on really long rides I regularly find my self on stretches of road where the general crusing speed is 80, and the shadow seemed to strain to do that. Now Im looking at a beautiful 83 Sabre 750. And Im wondering if with the different bike design and the extra gear weather the sabre would have the same issue or should I be looking for the 1100 version. Not trying to win any races but would like to keep up with the flow of traffic on the I5 without killing the bike
