Lukas,
Valves are set using a .004 shim (clearance) for the exhaust valves and .002 shim (clearance) for intake. Make sure that the rockers are not on the cam lobe when setting valves. I hope this is what you wanted to know about "tuning" valves. I think it´s a good idea to purchase a repair manual for this model to avoid the reply delays on message boards, plus you´ll get a more accurate explaination.
