I ran a Honda 250 RS for about 4 years before I finally had enough of the continual stator problems. I have not noticed anyone else experiencing this problem, so my bike might have some other issues, perhaps a bent crank. But I want to say that I had a ball on this bike. Economical, low to the ground, reliable (apart from that one problem). It´s not good at anything, speed, handling, braking, but it is all good enough if you to ride as a commuter or tourist. I rode Melbourne to Queensland, 2800 kilometers for $80 of fuel. To me, that´s fun! Tyres are cheap and it was reliable...except for you know what. I now ride a TT 350 Yamaha dirt bike. Totally different experience. Rode a friends Honda 750. Totally different again. And now I´m considering putting the RS back on the road! Have to solve stator issues though.
