I have a 1982 CM 250,bought new. The original starter seemed
a bit weak especially on colder days with oil becoming thicker.
I often would put a cycle cover over the bike and position a hair
dryer to heat up the crank case for about 15 minutes. This allowed
me to ride all year round. Incidentally my first engine gave
me 80000 miles my second has over 20000 miles. I feel I have
received tremendous bang for my buck. I feel no one gets more
fun out of riding a lighter weight bike than me. Let me know
when you want to sell your bike. Ira.
