Hi Guys~
I´m new to the riding scene, and was lucky enough to find my 250 custom through a friend who was cleaning out several storage units. He bought this bike new, and it only had 1822 miles on it!! It has been sitting in storage for some time, but he had taken general care of it to keep it from dispare (falling apart from old age). I purchased it from him for $500, got a new battery, changed the oil, shined it up, and have been riding it ever since! This is a learning bike for me, and I hope to move up to something a bit bigger in the near future.
I am very impressed with the way this bike has weathered the years of just sitting around, and am so happy with it´s performance. Living here in Colorado, this little bike is perfect for the close, wind-y jonts that are close by for those quick outings. My husband is all for the biker-mom image, and encourages me to go out as often as the weather permits.
Anyways, am glad to share my recent experiences...

Oh by the way, anybody have any trouble with shifting from 2nd to 3rd at a high rpm? Quicker, slower shifts (like in town, when you are just tooling along) are easy, and aren´t a problem, but if I need to get up and go, shifting into 3rd is a real bugger, stiff, and stubborn.
Any suggestions?

Kelly
