I have a 82 Honda cm250 custom. Its my first bike and I´ve been told on older Honda´s to adjust the valves every 4500-5000 miles. Well I´m at 5200. I am sure the original owner didn´t adjust them due to the fact that I just rolled it over 5000 a few weeks ago. Does the 4500-5000 miles sound right? and does anyone know the spec for the adjustment?

Appreciate any help.
