After some 23 years, these machines are starting to be called "Classic". Amazing that there are still bikes on the road !! Mine is back at the doctors ... most of the engines and sump seals were leaking - I´m using it to commute daily and I think I´m killing it :-(( Despite changes to the drive ratios, it still red-lines at 120kmh - the cruising speed it needs to be at on our highways. Had to import brake pads for the front(6 weeks and still waiting) so this idea bears investigation ... change the front wheel and the speedo unit at the same time. Anyone thought about electronic Rev-counters while we´re at it ? Robin Johannesburg South Africa |
