i own a 1982 harley-davidson XLHA 1000cc Iron-Head 1000cc. 25th anniversary-edition. they made 932 and mine is number 445. perfect condition. i need a new back drive chain but don´t understand all this O-stuff or roller chain stuff. can you help me out with what i need to order? chain is size 530/110 links. also is buying a chain for about $30.00 a good idea? harley shop wants $153.00. please advise. my manual also says its a 3/8 inch pitch tripple chain? whats that all about? sprocket teeth--engine 34---wheel 48. had bike for 20-years now and figure its about time for a chain. 3rd owner. also, harley shop says they have to replace all 3 things to get speedo working again, wheel thing, cable, and speedo. I don´t think so, cost around $350. don´t they have a way to check and see what it is?? $90 an hour labor just to find out. thanks guys. holden-beach N.C. and life ain´t a beach no more. virus.
