Hi I have recentlt finished a rebuild of a 1984 RGS1000, having a little trouble making the thing idle nicely!!! Is this normal for this machine, surely NOT??? Secondly what made the very fast Laverda 1000 (the 3CL was it called??) so fast in it´s day? I had a friend with one some years ago and it could blow off any Jap bike of the same era with relative ease!!! Thirdly any tips for someone like myself who wants to try living with this beast for a few years. ANYTHING from someone who knows these lovely old bikes will be greatly appreciated.
