I have owned two 440LTD 1992,and a 1993 the engine has enough power to maintain 55mph on a 30 degree hill for the two miles we have to drive, in top gear, with me and my wife being 310LB together,and cruse at 65 mph with some spare on the flat. I feel that is respectful for this size motorcycle.
