what are some of the pros and cons to an 87 v65

I am considering two honda bikes both 1987 one is a v65 magna the other is an 1100 shadow. What do I have to watch out for with thw Magna it has been sitting for 4 years and needs cab work. What would be problems inherrent to the v65 magna?
