Typical! I ´ve owned mine for 20 years and it does that. I have modified the bike twice and am now on a third, Freddie Spencer replica. I even took the fairing off and put on number plates. When I put the WISECO 1123 kit in it on the first build, that made it even more temperamental. Then the Megacycle cams and smooth bores, etc. I was now in super bike territory so I had to use race gas, even for the street. Or, blend a GOOD octane booster with pump gas and keep 6 gallon jugs in your shop... Grin. This build I am going all out except I am not putting a dry sump in and I found small, legal lighting for street use. Bottom line: Have a good shop install DynaTek coils and and re-do your starter, it´ll work
