Just bought a 2000 buell lightning in June. Bike is quick enough to keep you happy, good in corners, quick out of the hole, low top end 135 k but good zero - 100 bike.

Not the fastest, not the best in corners but lots of fun and affordable.

A low mileage 2000 lightning will run about 4500 in good shape.
