i had purchased a 2000 lightning about 6 months ago, and let me tell you it is some machine. this bike handles curves like nothing i have ever ridden. it is a very powerful machine too. the torque on this monster was amazing. i have one complaint and that is the oil leaking out of the head. the reason for this is like that of harley-davidson... they were put together by the manufacture with paper head gaskets. if you don´t let the bike warm up considerably before taking off the seal will rupture and cause a oil leak around the piston and through the air filter. a real pain in the ass if you ask me. also there is no gas turn off switch. well now that i think about it, the bike is very shaky when it idles. it feels like it will vibrate you right itself. overall i have fallen in love with my buell and would not trade for the world...well maybe that not much.
