I have a Magna which had some Sabre parts grafted onto it, but shares the 750 motor for all intents and purposes. It has to be one of the most enjoyable rides I´ve ever owned, and as stated the Cam problem can be remedied by a simple enlargement of the gallery holes (I have yet to do this on my motor, but I haven´t encountered much in the form of Cam wear yet at 20K miles so I´m not cracking the case just for this. I´d say go for it and purchase the bike, as you won´t be let down by this Honda.
