I just bought this bike. It has 41k and runs ruff (nds carb srebuit and tune up but overall in grt shape at a good price). I researched before buying and know of the cam problem. It results from low oil getting to the cams due to too small feeder holes in head. I´ve heard of people boring these out which is what Honda did to remedy this defect in later V4´s ie the V65 onward. Also heard that always running synthetic oil only is a possible cheaper alternative:) A Canadian put 121K on his 83 Magna with one minor 2 hr roadside glitch! Pretty good, eh?
