83 cx-650 c electrical system seems to be fine according to the manual. Charging at all the right numbers at the correct rpm. Two years ago replaced the bad stator (what a pain that was to change). Worked fine for two summers. This year the plug and yellow wires on both sides - alternator and rectifier sides - burnt. Outsides melted and wires themselves crisped. Replaced connector and wires with correct gauge wiring. When started, still at idle, in about 2 minutes the wires are extremely hot to touch. New battery, presently headlight staying bright. What my first indication of trouble is turn signals fail to operate. They work fine prior to starting the engine and for the first 2-3 minutes, then quit working. Any thoughts of what I need to check next?
