I have just paid $95 for a good, used, left side cover for my newly purchased ´83 VT 500C Shadow. The price included $10 shipping from CA to me in TN. You will need to start Googling for parts sources if you intend to keep the bike, as pieces such as the covers - particularly the l. side - are no longer available from Honda proper.
