Hi, i am new to this group, i have recently bought a 1983 honda cm 125 off ebay for £200 with some tax/mot for my partner to commute to work. we tried to bring it home on the motorway and it broke down, every time you start to go up the gears and open her up she slows to a crawl and cuts out. recovered it home, taken it all apart to find iv had to re-do all the wireing for lights and found broken wires to gearbox. this is all sorted now including repaint. i have taken the carb off, stripped, cleaned jets and all areas, fitted new float needle valve and refitted, new fuel with redex to clean it all through and im having trouble setting it up, starting problems and bairly enough power to get out of 1st.... any help would be great and i really dont like where one of the adjusters is in a resess in bottom of carb!! also the air intake has been cut and has been taped to take up the gap between carb and air box, would this cause an issue also?? i have cleaned and refitted plugs too. would really appreciate some help...
