The stock carb has worked great for my ride since I purchased it in 89. Keep rebuilding the monster and it will do well for you.
Problem to watch out for.... I rebuilt my carb 3 times because of problems just to find out 5 years later that my gas cap was not venting properly. I took a nail and punched out that nasty vent and never had a problem after that.
Pipe.....I´m still running Harley pipes and don´t have any discolouration problems....
All this probably didn´t help but that´s my story and I´m sticking to it.
