Ive Resently purchased an 83 FXR says 83and a half on title. The owner at the time let it sit for 15 years. But other than needing break work, I drove it home. I did open her up a bit. It was very slow until around 65 mph. Then at 65 up till 117 mph its got power. A buddy of mine owns a motorcycle shop and is telling me that an old shovelhead will not be a fast bike especially on low end power. My question is for anyone that has either owend one is what should I expect? In first gear going into 2nd I can peddle a bicycle past it.
