I took delivery of my new VRSCX on June 19, 2007. It´s registering 4,891 grin generating miles on the odometer. This bike is a phenomenal piece of work. The incredible torque, to the 240mm rear tire, makes one feel like their being pushed by the hand of God. Cornering and handling is much better than I would have expected from this type of bike. I´m surprised at the road hugging assurance this machine passes to the rider. The one pseudo-downside is the looks. It looks so good, one will find themselves ´ambushed´ at fuel stations, restaurants, bars, gyms, et al, answering questions and allowing the gawkers to gawk. So while they´re gawking and talking, I´m not riding. The air-cooled HD crowd ´sour-grapes´ the exhausts note. I tell them it doesn´t matter anyway; because I´ll be so far in front of them they won´t be able to see me either. The exhaust note growls a subtle tribute to the violent fury of the motor. During hard acceleration, the rider experiences the deep bellowing of the velocity stacks that reside directly below the riders head. It´s a fix for something lost in our past. The whole system reminds me of the international efforts put into the North American P-51D Mustang and the Ford Shelby Cobra. If you´re lucky enough to own one of these machines, you know what I´m talking about. Keep two fists in the wind.
