I just spent £1500 restoring a 1981 undressed Wing to mint condition. I have been riding a 1998 Fireblade for the last 5 years whilst I was doing the work. When I took the Wing for its maiden ride I was astounded by the lack of handling and soggy suspension this model has. It feels like a 700lb marshmallow, when cornering it wallows and pulls on the bars. You really need some arm power to get this thing where you want it to go, especially at low speed. I have a fork brace fitted, new Specialized Suspension air shocks and uprated fork springs. Guess I have been spoilt by the Blades sharp handling and light weight! They call Goldwing riders WingNuts around here, it´s because you have to be a nut to ride one. Anyone else have any similar experiences?
